Deciding Your Journey

I want you to imagine you are given two options. Please think about this with me right now.

Option A:

A million dollars, which is placed right in front of you to grab, no strings attached

Option B:

A thousand dollars, placed right behind you to grab, also no strings attached

This should be an easy decision, we would all take Option A. Now let's change the rules.

Option A:

A million dollars, placed in front of you, but with a chair between you and the money

Option B:

A thousand dollars, placed right behind you to grab. No strings attached

This should still be an easy decision. Getting over one chair is not a hard task, and well worth it for a million dollars. Now lets change the rules AGAIN.

Option A:

A million dollars, placed in front of you, but with 50 chairs stacked up in front of you between you and the money. You can only go over them, not around them

Option B:

A thousand dollars, placed right behind you to grab. STILL no strings attached.

For many now, this becomes a hard decision. These options now, are the closest options to reality. The million dollars represent your true dreams and goals, the version of yourself you desire to get to without a doubt. The thousand dollars behind you is the easy way out, the career others want you to have, although you know you would not be happy with it, always remembering what could have been. The chairs are the obstacles that stand between you and your dreams. You may, while climbing, fall down and have to climb the tall mountain again. However, every time you get back up and climb again, you get closer and closer to the top. Every time you fail however, you are tempted by the easy way out standing right behind you. It becomes crucial in your life to never look back, and never consider turning to the version of yourself that would require less obstacles, but leaves you less happy. One day, if you continue to climb, you WILL get to your million dollars, AKA, your dreams and true self. Do not turn around and settle for your thousand dollar self, when you were born a million dollar person.
